Should I build or do a PA

I know this is a big debate but all in all would be about same price. I have about 5K to spend and you think I should do a build up of heads, manifold, etc or just do a cam, springs and whipple? I'd be looking for about 450rwhp. Thanks.

what other mods do you have. If you don't have many mods you may be wasting your time. I would reccomend supercharger and cam. If you have a f-body good luck putting a whipple under the hood as I know no one that has one. Most people use the ATI or Vortec set up as it fits under the hood. Whipple is a roots type blower that needs to sit on top of the motor and we have no room under the hood for one.

If your motor is strong do a power adder like an STS turbo...that is the way to go.

I want a roots cause of the low end torque but all the research i've done leads me to centrifugal. But i'm gonna spend 5K for 530HP when I can do patriot heads, cam, full exhaust which I have and can get 510HP for like 3K so guess i'm gonna just go with the build.

Heads and can will definetly yield you the power you want, and won't be detrimental to your bottom end assembly like a power adder. Good choice!

uh actually the RPM required to run 450rwhp will do worse things to your bottom end than a well set up FI system will.

The RPM's required to make equivalent power is MUCH safer than FI. It's all about how you apply your camshaft and how well matched they are to the flow of the heads. If it's done right, You won't move much higher than stock powerband to begin with. Go look at what GMMG and Matt Murphy did with their cars and tell me it isn't safe.
