Default Cam Question

I heard that LS1's donot like "reverse Split" cams. This is what I was told. Not that I know exactly what "don't like" means. However can anyone give me better answer then don't like. Or is this guy full of shyt. Thank you.

ya sure they hate them .... thats why my car made 395rwhp / 377rwtq with my thunder racing 230/224 .576/.563 111lsa .

However, you've got to fit the cam to the application ... i have straight exhaust so i had figured my car didn't need as much exhaust duration. I'm putting a catted Ypipe and catback back on my car here in 2 months and can't wait to see how much hp I lose with the more restricted exhaust.

Stock, exhaust is the grand restriction on ls1 setups (hence traditional split). Now, mod the exhaust to make it flow extremely well, making the intake the restriction (enter reverse split). Now, we have better intakes (90mm etc.), enter traditional or even split once again.
