Default Cam ??'s

Im thinking about swaping cams in my ta, but i have not a clue what the numbers mean.
So my question is what is a good cam that will add some HP and keep it very streetable? I dont want to loose a ton of gas mileage and i want a SEMI-Rough idle but not terrible.?? any help would be great !

Thanks
Robbie

I would read the "CAM GUIDE" sticky at the top of the page, that will give you a good idea of what all the numbers mean. What i would recomend is calling TSP, and Futral motor Sports and asking them, but i'm sure your looking for somthing in a 224/224 range.

I just recently ordered the f13 cam. It will give more power than the 224/224 and idle rougher, but when tuned it wont have any driveabilty problems. Im not sure about the loss of gas milage with it though. Also rember when ordering a cam you should also get: hardend pushrods, new valvesprings, ls6 oil pump, and timing chain. I am also ordering new lifters, but they are not needed.

futral motorsports F13 is a good cam that drives very well and still makes a lot of power. Right now I have 417 rwhp and I have a fuel problem because past 5500 rpms my a/f ratio is above 13 so when i get that fixed and get a LS6 intake it should be good.

The cam guide will help out alot. Your driving style is what mainly determines your gas mileage. I didnt see a difference in mine from stock to 244/248 .598/.598 115LSA

But if you want a better than stock feel and aggressive sound....just get a Hotcam kit.

224/224 cams are great all around cams. I run a little bigger 226/228 everyday without any issues...its all in the tune tho....F13 cams are awesome too. If you are interested in a custom cam like mine, let me know and i will send you the full specs and numbers i got.
