no i havent. i want it new. doesnt necessarily have to be ported. i think a ls6 one would be fine. i finally took the plunge and bought my own pulley puller, but its tough to get the car up in the air at my apt

be prepared for a lot o swearing, cursing, pain killers, chin screching, hair grabbing, and chocking yourself with the removal of the DAM PULLEY.

in regard to the oil pump go to the nearest dealer (let them take the shipping cost), buy whatever pump they have (new stock of course) port it yourself, and shim it with two 50 cents SS washers, also you have to buy some locktite, some sealant, A SHIM GAGE, you need to center the snout of the crank to the pump center!
A NEW pulley bolt.

THE MOST IMPORTANT: goto ebay and find this two books about hi perf LS1-6 theyre easy to locate, I`m also building a my engine on crum budget and the books are the BEST EVER MOST BANK FOR THE BUCK I ever spended, exellent info. They let you enjoy this forum ans no one can

BUY THE TWO BOOKS BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK!

ive done cam swaps in the past as well as oil pumps and timing chains so im familiar with what it entails both on my car and others. Im not too worried about it being ported or shimmed. I figured the ls6 is better than the ls1 oilpump all together.

I have tried a lot of pullers but the best solution that I have for pulling the ls1 pully, is a 2 arm with a large c-clamp across the arms to keep them from sliding off.

it wont be till the end of the month..already spent all i could this check. The craftsman 46906 puller has worked fine for me everytime. only issue i have is the nuts fall off.. other than that, its fine. I cant port my own because i dont have the tools or the know how...im fine with just a stock ls6 replacement.
