couple of questions im getting ready to tear down my motor and part some of it for a 402 project its a 98 ls1 but im going to get the slp 402 iron block and rotating assembly. i know i need the sensors and the front and rear covers and will need to upgrade the timing chain and the oil pump will need to be ported or replaced. please tell me if i have left anything out also on the heads im going to get them worked on but also i was wondering is there a good combo as far as cam, lifters and rockers are concerned. and are the factory rails capalbe of supporting the fuel requiremnts i know the injectors will have to be replaced. im not looking to build a dragster just want a kinda of toy i guess is what you would call it. would like to maintain streetability but will also take to the track to see what it is capable of. i know this is a lot of info to process but all input would be greatly appreciated especially from those who have done similar projects.
