I believe it was $200+ shipping. The first tune I got was near dead on but sometimes when the car was cold it would want to stall when going from reverse to drive. I sent it back, Jason adjusted it, and it has been perfect ever since.

Thats a good point...anyone have any suggestions for what heads will work with the MS3 w/out having to flycut?

Check out TSP, they have the best H/C packages as far as pricewise. Their PRC heads look really nice.

Is there a better head and cam combo out there? I mean is the MS3 and say the PRC 2.5's a pretty badass combo? You know as far as other heads/cam options? Could more power be made with a different setup...with lets say the g5x3 or F14?

If you don't want to fly cut you'll have to go with a stage 1 head with stock sized valves.

Yeah I was reading that a little bit ago, looks pretty promising. I am trying to get in touch with Jason at TSP right now and see what reccomends. Thanks.

Stage 1's huh? I am really iffy on flycutting, I have read some negative things about it recently. If thats my only option should I go with a different cam you think? then go with some stage 2.5's?

so I am to assume that if I have stock 243 heads, the MS3 will work fine, do I need to check the P-V clearance anyway since I am changing from 241 to 243 and adding the MS3 at the same time??????

Anyone think I should go with a different cam since I am going with heads as well?

My car has a MS3 and I drive it atleast 3-4 days every week. Usually run into some heavy bumper to bumper traffic on the way home during rush hour too. I have 4.11s in my 9" and it is very driveable. I would definately recommend going with 4.10s though if you decided to go with the MS3. To me, my car feels like it would be a pig down low if I didn't have the 4.11s. I went with the PRC Platinum .660 valve springs w/ titanium retainers, Manley hardened pushrods, ported LS6 oil pump, and a new Rollmaster timing set when I had the MS3 installed. Also added a Powerbond pulley during the swap. I have plans to buy a good set of heads for it in the near future. I'll more than likely have to get the pistons flycut for the aftermarket heads, but I'm not worried about it. My rev limiter is set at 6,700, and that's about as high as I want to spin it with the stock bottom end. My car was dyno tuned by Gomer using HPTuners and put down 401 rwhp / 364 rwtq with stock heads, through the 9" with 4.11s and 315s on the back. I gained 62 rwhp with the MS3 and Powerbond pulley through the 9" over my stock cam and 10 bolt numbers. I'm in the process of upgrading my fuel system for a 150+ dry shot. From what I've seen the MS3 works great with nitrous, so I can't wait to spray it. I highly recommend the MS3.

I was looking at doing some ported 243s keeping the stock valve size. TSP said that would work fine. Might not hurt to give it a chack anyway.

That's a very sweet looking power curve with very usable power for most of us. Very nice!

I've taken it all the way up to 6,600 more than a few times since the swap but am usually looking at the tach, and haven't taken it to the track yet because I still need to get my TrakPak and subframe connectors welded up. I'll look at the speedometer next time and let you know.

The PRC Platinum .660 springs are supposed to be some of the best out there so I would expect to get atleast 20K miles out of them. I think that most people reccommend checking the springs at about 15K miles. The life of the valve springs will also depend on how often you race/give it hell. I've only had the MS3 in my car for about 1,000 miles so I'll let someone else answer the question on maintenance.
