Default Smoking on Cold Startups

My car, ever since I put the cam in has been smoking on cold startups. As soon as it warms up alil bit, the smoke stops. I put the 918's in so I didn't put new seals in (aka, I shouldn't have worried about whether or not they seated right).
I'm thinking its just from where the PCM is programmed to run richer on a cold start up, and that the 'smoke' is just the extra unburnt fuel from it being so rich. Does this sound right, or is there some unknown phenomenon that causes seals to experierence much more wear w/ a cam?

Mine does the same thing. Nothing to worry about. If you're really concerned & want to check for excessive seal wear, accelerate a bit while going down a hill & then take your foot off of the gas. Look for smoke. If it's there, you likely have carbon build up or a seal problem.

Alright ... thanks. I didn't think it'd be a problem. But just wanted to check for ease of mind.

Yea, I don't think it's a big deal mine does the same thing. I too was worried at first but after talking to a few people I think it's normal. Mine has a little puff of smoke when started cold but that's it.
