Have you looked into some of the sponsors shortblocks? for 402's and 408's? ------>
The Lunati stroker kit will end up costing you as much as a built motor in the end, so that seems like it might be a better option, and you might get a discount on the AFR's if you play your cards right and have it all done at the same time by the same shop.

Yes you will be in the high 400's for sure.
And I know that from the way you are asking about the 225's that you are wanting to get them ASAP and run them pre-stroker on your 346 cid.

205's seem to be a prime choice for the stock displacement, but If you are going with a stroker you might as well just get the 225's and save yourself about 2.5 grand down the road.

You dont want AFR 225s on a stock bore...205s are plenty for the 383.
My understanding is the better quality kits (lunati, callies) are also lighter...which costs more to make..
check out www.rapidmotorsports.com or some of the other sponsors for the assembled shortblocks..

Yeah check out some of the sponsors, you might end up paying more for machine work and labor unless you are doing it yourself. Plus these kits are also expensive.
