Default stroked guys please help........

Where can I go to get the best deal on a stroker motor. I want something good size that I can spray a 200hp shot on! Can I go with an aluminum block with that much spray?

What do you guys recommend?

Please point me to some good priced vendors..............thanks.

I don't like to recommend some place I haven't used but I heard LME, HPE and Futural are all good guys to buy from. As far as parts. You can spray a 200 shot on any of the stroker assmeblies for the ls1's. If you are looking at a budget build go with an eagle crank and rods with anyone's forged pistons. Just make sure the rods have at least arp 2000 bolts.

I will be getting a Texas Speed 383 soon. From what I've read there have been good results from them. It's hard to find much on the strokers.

Will the stock T56 handle a 408 stroker motor? What about with a 200shot?

It may work for a while on a 408, but not a 408 on a 200shot. The clutch will be a major pain in ***. We were always having to swap clutches and hydralic fluid in my friends t56.

To handle that much power your gonna need to upgrade the trans and if you still have the 10 bolt say goodby to that. If your going to more track use, think about swapping to a TH350/TH400.

ForceFed High Performance prices beat all the others specials for me.. I checked around and they had the best price, and actually took the time to email me back and answer my questions unlike a couple of others I checked with.

Well I really appreciate your input..........can you possibly PM me the price you paid for your 408? That's what I want..........Forged of course to handle a hefty amount of spray (200-300shot). I'll also look them up myself.

Did they install the motor for you as well?

Again..........thanks for the input!!

I currently have a mcleod twin disc........I think that will handle it! Might need to the tranny rebuilt to handle it though.

What do you think?

Possibly upgrade your input/output shafts, shift forks and synchros.
Twin Disk is rated at like some ungodly number like....1,200 rwhp? So you are good in that aspect.
