Is that the AFR cam?
Is that a Comp grind?
What are the lobe masters and lobe center lines? i.e. 3722/3724 114 lsa +2? Thanks

Brain, I do not know but plenty of people must by now.
I'll research it.

Actually that might be a bad comparison because it would take much cash, effort and tuning to do an apples to apples with that particular C5, which was built as a showcase for those heads.

Bench racing......

Anyway I am looking forward to what these heads can do !

Run them with the TR224 cam. If its going to be a street head, run it with a street cam.

Hell...use a Z06 cam. I'd like to see what kinda results you could get from something like that...

The heads are being tested on an engine dyno, with Hooker headers and Kooks headers, LS6 and Fast 90/90 intakes both. Right now we have 8 cams ranging from 216/220 to 232/236. Being tuned with DFI, so WOT tuning from cam to cam is a snap.

Whatever makes the most average power is what's going into my C5

very nice numbers.
awaiting dyno comparisons

I'd say a 224 cam and something F13-ish. Seems to be alot of guys running those 2 cams.

No, because of the rolled over valve angle they will require longer then stock.

Brian, have you thought of comparing them to the ETP 215 heads? There is a thread in the Dynometer section of them dynoing 20rwhp over the AFR 205's.

We are still waiting for the dyno numbers, what size cc chambers are available? And will they work with a G5x3-114 cam on a stock LS6 bottom end? I'll be buying a set as soon as they are available.

Thanks,

Al

I gotta agree here. That cam is popular, easy to tune, typically a benchmark, and the 114 LSA has been used by many to pass roller emissions. So something in the low to mid 220s with 0 to -4 overlap makes sense as baseline. Let ET pick out something that they feel works best, just the way AFR uses their 224/228.

After that you can test them with a 230s cam.

64 cc and I believe they will clear with that cam. Basically any cam that will clear a stock unmilled 5.7 head will clear the TFS head. So I guess that includes the T Rex cam and the like.

I have a set on order, but it will be many weeks before we get a set. If anyone has a set they would be willing to have dyno tested we would be glad to give them the results.

Yea, i would like to get closer to a 59cc chamber due to the G5x3's need for more compression. I'll have to talk to the guys at LG.
