There are two, I know one of them only has 5w30 and 10w40. The other one had 5w30 and something else, but I don't remember what it was.

I made one mistake by saying that I unplugged the injectors (which was the coils) why are you making such a big deal about it. I called you out on working with exhaust because you said you had been making custom exhaust 2 years before you started welding. What was I supposed to think? What would anyone else think. You explained yourself and I read it, I thought that was over with. I really don't know why yall keep bringing up plugs. This is the question at hand

Come down to Dallas and STFU me up. I gave excellent information and its more then most will ante up here. We seem to have alot of people spreading false information and i get tired of reading it on a board that is supposedly full of technical infortion. If you cant stand it or dont like what i say. Get over it. You are probably one that is spreading bad information that i dont like to read.

That is farthest from the truth. You provided no information but for the simple fact that it's normal for oil to be on the plugs in the back. I asked nothing about reading spark plugs which I already knew about. You gave me no information on the real issue, even after I posted that this is the real question at hand. Which was about the lifters.

did yoy soak the lifters in oil before installing them? just thinking that could be your culprit as to why the noise. they just need to fill w/oil. I dont know if it would cause damage, but I would hate to remove them again. me, I would put it in the next time to do before basket. good luck 777. dont forget this tid bit on your cam change.

Speaking of tech, can we stick to that?
Otherwise it will be locked, and when 777 finds the solution we will not be able to know what it really was.

I didn't take the lifters out. I didn't install new ones. I just put some dowels to hold the lifters up and changed the cams. But it was ticking before after I just did a compression check. Then it went away in about a minute. It did the same thing after the cam swap. I'm guessing it's just the lifters pumping up with oil. I don't think it's a big deal.

I'm pretty sure it's just that the lifters needed to pump up with oil. The lifters probably need replacing, that is why it took longer than normal for them to pump up. They should hold out until I get a new forged motor.

You havent provided us with any good technical information by you performing a compression test with the coils unplugged...I mean hello????

I serisouly doubt you know how to read spark plugs. BUt lots of people will pretend they know how.

Yes it is possible your lifters have bleed down. You answered that yourself. Washing the cylinders out with gas but no igntion will do that. It'd be wise to change the oil immediately to save the bearings from being washed out. But i suppose you knew that too right?

Ok, lets look at this.

The compression test was in no way supposed to provide technical information. I didn't even show the results. I was just saying that, so it would help those who actually want to help me diagnose the problem.

http://www.densoiridium.com/howtoreadusedplugs.php It's in the sticky, something most people do not read. I don't see why that's a big deal. I did not know that I needed to change the oil immediatly so I wouldn't wash out the bearings, however it makes sense. Thanks for your second useful thing you have said.

Awaiting comment from V6 Bird on being so incredibly stupid because I did not think about changing the oil immediatly after the compression screw up...

So 777 has the motor ticked any more? I mean, if it was the lifters pumping up with oil I would assume the ticking did not return. If that is the case then all should be good. If not .
How does the new cam sound? I am thinking of a 226° .585" with the same 110° LSA + 4° .

NO need to comment on it. You already know you are stupid for doing it.
And if you think that link is a good link on reading plugs you've got a lot to learn. Much of which we've already learned you are still wet behing the ears from coming out of mamma.
