Default Just installed LS6 cam..question

Wondering what is the highest safe RPM's I can go to. I also have the LS6 springs and retainers, along with chromoly pushrods 7.425. Rev limiter is set at 6600, could it be set at 6800 or 6900?

I'd keep it where it is if I were you. I would guess you start dropping off at 6500ish anyways.

Mine is set at 6600.. I shift at 6300-6500 and it works great, IMO there is no need for the limiter to be any higher than 6600 with the LS6 cam, it peaks around 6000.

My old LS6 cam setup peaked around 6050rpms and held flat to 6500rpms. Fell off pretty fast after that. There is no need to shift any higher than 6500rpms.

BTW I was using LS6 springs, Tit Ret & stock pushrods.

Sounds like someone needs to move to at least a high 230's duration cam then
