Default 111 lsa or smaller?

who here is running 111 lsa or smaller?
what are your cam spec?
what HP/TQ is engine producing?
how does your brake peddle feel?
I'm planning to run patriot heads 59cc,
tsp 231/237 .598/.595 112 lsa. just wondering what to expect if I go w/ a 110 lsa, other then choppier idle.
for 2001 ws6 m6, stock bottom, kooks lt,ory,borla cat back,stock intake/TB.

Are you looking for upper RPM gains rather than lower ?

just curious on what to expect if I went from 112 lsa to 110 or maybe 108 lsa, as far as HP is conerned. I'm thinking it would give me more HP, but w/ rough idle and maybe not enough vacum for street use. am I thinking correctly here? any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Thats the right line of thinking, your car will have a more agressive idle and lets say your two cams were the same in everything but LSA, the tighter LSA moves everyhing up in the curve, power and torque are nearly the same just moved up, does that make sense or help answer your question ?

I have a 238/242 .605/.610 110LSA+2 and peak power is at 6800rpm and red line 7000rpm, the 2* advance helped move the power band down at a more usable RPM
and it sounds mean as hell!!

Berry, With the lift over .600, did you have to do anything to the heads besides the springs, retainers, etc. ??

227/231 571/578 111 straight up install.

Plenty of power, shift at 6600, brake pedal is better than my TR224 112 was.

All else being equal, a cam ground with a smaller LSA will produce more peak HP and TQ, but will have a narrower RPM range than a cam ground with a larger LSA. The small LSA cam will also have a "lopy" idle, produce less manifold vacuum, and require more extensive tuning.

that being said, would the cam with the tighter LSA be more friendly for nitrous use or not?

I have a comp 242/248 .610/.615 109 straight up, similiar to a Trex cam, I'm moving up to a 408 since this motor blew, I want to go with something along the lines of a 256/268 .650/.660 108, and plan on keeping the bottle on it.

That is relative to the valve events.
