I heard that the motor was sold billed as 'rebuildable'.

Hmm, thats kinda funny Ben...I was told it was a "running" motor

UPDATE: Well the crank has to be turned, and he is going to re-bearing the whole motor, and hot tank it, and show me how to set up the piston rings for a little N20 I should have it back in a week or so, depending on how fast he can get it done. The whole process is costing me around $240.00 with new crank bearings and everything else......

I've read that the crank gets a tad stouter when you turn it down. Of course, that'd have to be to a certain point. Not a bad price for what he's doing, but you've got a LOT of reassembly to do ain't ya?

Yeah, but I enjoy doing it though....its really not that bad...hell I have done this so many times, I am a pro now I look at it as an experience. The more I do it, the more I learn. This will be the first time that I have been inside the motor though.....

While your at it, have you thought about getting the crank offset ground. Its already out and its an easy way to pick up 20 cubes.

Rob, I double checked, info I got is that it was sold as a "take out, needed hone and possible rings". Just wondering, cause I know the parties involved, and they are professional and I doubt would ever misrepresent a product.
