Default Freshen up motor??

I'm in the market for a cam, but I have one question first. MY car's got 140k on the clock, so should I put in new bearings, rings, ARP bolts and what not.....or would it be fine the way it is?? TIA

They are some people on this board that have put cams in w/ pretty high miles. These motors only last as long as you take of them. These motors are strong ****'s
I am also pushing the miles. I am at 148,XXX miles.
It wouldnt be a bad idea. It would give you a piece of mind, especially if you want a big cam and want to spin the motor pretty high.
Good luck on the cam purchase.

Rod bolts would probably be a good idea being you'll be spinning pretty high with that cam.

1- Do a compression and a leakdown test
2- Based on the results then make your decision.
