I definitely let my car warm up before I can drive it. My neighbors in my apartment complex hate it, but *** em. They aren't the ones paying for repairs.

I treat my car the way I do myself, I NEVER hit the ground running right out of bed, it always takes me a good 5 or 10 minutes to get fully functional so I always wait for my thermostat to open before I start pushing hard.................

Ever since I put the cam in, I've become real **** about it. RPM's > 2000 until its at normal operating temp. I figure you can never be too safe.

I let my car warm up as well, always make sure the water temp is around 160. My car does love this nice, crisp, cold air though. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think she runs much better in cold cold air.

I just let it warm up a little so the temp gauge starts moving, and then ill start driving real slow. I keep the rpms low until it reaches just about normal temp.
I think its a good idea to drive it slow once the engine is at a decent temp so you can start warming up the rest of the drivetrain. You can sit there and let the engine idle till its normal temp but your tranny and rear end will still be as cold as the beginning, and I dont think this is a good idea if you plan on getting on it

yes this would be the case... cold air is more dense, and of course cooler -> more power
