Default Bent pushrod and compression

Will a bent pushrod affect the results of a compression test? I've searched and didnt find anything, and this is my last attempt to find lost power before the new motor (when i had crappy tires my car would always hit the limiter , 6500, hard so i think one might be bent) if they would affect it enough where i would see it i can rule it out, since my compression was good, but if not i'll check them tomorrow

If the rod is holding the valve open in some fashion, then yes.

I can't see it being a factor, unless it's wedged against the head?

A bent rod would effectively lower the maximum valve lift, so it would be
associated with power loss.

Compression would be an issue if the valve is hanging open.

You would read close to zero, or zero on a compression test if the valve is not seated.

Depending on the severity of the bend, there may be clicking heard from the
lash between the rocker and lifter. Further mechanical damage will follow.
