Default MTI 2e heads/cam or cam only?
I am thinking about MTI's 2e heads/custom cam package, but was wondering: If I went with that, how much power over a cam only (Trex or G5x4) would it really make? Any ideas?

Not sure about cam only, but I picked up a soild 10mph with the MTI Stage 2E's and X1 cam.

Stock Internals best mph was: 115.3

After heads & cam it's went a best mph of: 125.8

thats what im saying man. lots of people are saying afr this and that, but how does it stack up to ported and polished mti heads. mti has been in the game way too long to not get props. plus their heads are 1600 bucks. i think wilwaxu is running 10's i believe. i dont know if its just on that setup of or nos but that shows you mti stuff works. i would like to see more mti setups.

so are you saying mti's 2e heads are comparable to afr 205s?

I posted in the other thread as well... I have owned H/C setups from both (2E and AFR205s). All other mods being the same just H/C cam swaps. I never made more than 413rwhp (sae) with the MTI setup. My current AFR results are below... Unless someone is taking advantage you, you really do get what you pay for... I wasted a lot of money finding this out, and ignored some good advice from the forum...

With a Yank Pro Thruster - 4200
12 bolt and 3:73 gears, 3390 raceweight

No miracles here, a good matched combo. X1 is a stout cam (and a reverse, Hi Gomer )
