Correct pushrods for my combo?
Correct pushrods for my combo? I've got a pushrod length checker on the way but let's see what you guys think anyways.
2001 6.0 LQ4
stock heads milled .020 (317 castings)
stock head gaskets
crane 228/232 .600/.600 112lsa cam
crane 832 dual springs
crane 144850 stock replacement lifters
stock rockers
My machine shop recommended 7.4" and with those I get 1 3/4 turns of preload on the lifter which is roughly .045"
Crane tech says .020 - .060 preload on the lifters.
I have stock valves in the heads (317 castings) and no other machine work was done but the tip of the rocker look too close to the intake side of the valve to me.I'm going to try the swipe/wipe test on the valve tip but it should be the same as it was from the factory.
Any geusses on the pushrod length? I didn't measure my base circle

you are on the right track. i used several PR calculators while i was waiting for my PR checkers. Turns out my build has more variables than the calculators account for. my calculated values where ~0.2" bigger than what I need.
