I seriously doubt that but would be great. FWIW, my tuner says he thinks it'll be 410.

The cam is such a baby, I have my doubts.

I smell a "speed contest" between you and a "certain" red GTO....

No problem. If I was running a 228, then I'd say you would be right in the ballpark

Rob

I am undecided on using the cometics, did you have any problems with them? How much compression did you gain over the stock gaskets?

No problems at all with them. I figured the bump in compression to be about .2 more.

i used the .045 cometics,no problems.the thing about them though, your deck and head surfaces have to be very clean and smooth.the OEM MLS gaskets are more forgiving.although you will gain a little compression over the OEM gaskets(not exactly sure how much)the main benefit will be a tighter quench.

Thanks for info on the cometics. So what’s the verdict on the cam? I am disappointed to hear that you don’t notice anything below 3K.

Its not that I haven't felt anything. Haven't beat on it enough to really tell. It definitely hasn't lost anything down low. Still able to lug the thing around at 1000 in any gear.

The dyno will tell the story

Rob,
Are you going to dyno with the GT2-3? Or with the new camshaft?

Regards.
