Pushrod length with stock cam and ZO6 heads.

As the title states, I am going to install stock 2002 Z06 heads on my 2004 gto. I am not going to do the cam right away but was leaning towards something like the TR224 on a 114LSA. Anyway, I know that the Z06 sodium filled valves are .6mm longer than the stock ls1 valves to make up for the fact that ZO6 cam has a smaller base circle, in order to maintain proper valve preload. Could I make it for a few months with 7.40 pushrods, or should I get 7.35/7.375?? I was planning on replacing the stock pushrods when I swap the cam, I have not talked to Thunder racing, but I would assume that the TR224 would be closer in base circle to the ls6 cam than the ls1. By the way, I am doing the head install myself so, there is no labor cost associated, and am set on installing just heads and headers now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

.6mm is .0236". Your stock lifters have enough pre-load play that you can get by with stock length pushrods will be OK, but if you were going to live with the stock cam forever, I'd probably recommend getting 7.375" chrome moly pushrods to keep the geometry just like stock.
