LS6 Conversion
I know LS6 heads will bolt right on to an LS1 block but can I use my LS1 intake as well or do I have to go to an LS6 intake? I know an LS6 intake would be optimal but there is only so much money in the bank.
Are you getting ported LS6 heads or your out of the box 243 castings?
Look at these 2 threads FYI before caughing up cash for stockers:

Replace with an LS6 or better intake ASAP.
I made 343 rwhp with an MS3, lid and full exhaust on my A4. Upgraded to an LS6 intake manifold, added an SLP underdrive pulley and a retune with the intake/pulley landed me at 385 rwhp. That is a 42 rwhp net gain. Given that a pulley is worth about 10 rwhp that may or may not show up in full on a dyno that's a minimum gain of 32 rwhp from the intake. That LS1 intake just doesn't flow well enough and will probably choke the crap out of your top end.

Look at my example. Why spend $1,350 for a cam/spring swap and dyno tune to get 343 rwhp (A4) because of an LS1 intake manifold?
Just don't be dissapointed if you have very poor horsepower numbers until you get a better intake on there.
