It won't even crank
Okay.. so I just finished driving my car home from California to Illinois, and it made it PERFECT, even got good gas milage (for what it is). I am at home, and I had to stop a few places, it still works great (but the cold weather requires it to heat up a little more before driving, I knew this.).
I get it home in the driveway. About 3 hours later I go to start it. Nothing. It won't even crank over, I don't really hear ANY noise at all. I re-charged the battery just to make sure, still same thing. All lights, guages, radio, everything works fine. The fuses under the hood look okay (the 2 relays for IGN/STARTER still look brand new, the starter fuse under teh hood was fine).
I am going to check the ones inside the car today still.. any other suggesstions?
Car is a 2001 Camaro Z28, modified, has 19,000 miles on it now.
Thanks,
Eric

Try taking the relay in the fuse box and swap it with the other one, there should be 2 that are the same. If that doesnt work try knocking on the starter with a soft faced hammer, or jumping the starter poles.
I tried swapping the fuses and in neutral, lights don't dim. All of my guages go dead when I have the key turned but as soon as I let go they come back to life.
I had the battery disconnected then reconnected, no go.

FYI, it was finally above 10 degrees today so I hopped under the car. Starter solenoid wire (the smaller one) was off the stud. The nut had backed off probably from all the vibrating and it wasn't tight. Put it back on and everything worked great.
Incase anyone else runs into that problem.
