Default Do you need to have stock heads machined for the PRC dual springs?

I'm looking at the cam kits on Texas speeds website, and I'm looking at the kit that comes with the PRC dual springs. I read somewhere that the stock heads need to be machined to fit a dual spring. Is this true?

I had PRC duals on my 97 C5 LS1 heads and no machining was needed to install them.

All the Patriot, PRC, and TEA type "gold" or "platinum" springs are the stock diameter. 1.250" is there diameter. It's when you get into the 1.450" springs that you need to machine.
