Default New Cam

I've been researching new cams for my camaro. I'm considering the Thunder Racing 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA. I was wondering how streetable this cam is and if anyone has it, how do you like it? Should I go with the 114 LSA to make it more streetable? I have an M6 so I assume that I wouldn't have to get a tune. I'm also considering Comp Beehive springs with titanium retainers, are these good springs to get, or should I go with something else? I also wanted to know if I should just get a new timing chain since I'm going to be down there anyways. I know this is a lot of questions, but I have only built an older 350 for my firebird. Thanks for any of your suggestions. By the way, my only mod is an SLP Loudmouth. But I will be getting a lid and maybe headers.

my 1st cam was a tr224 on a 112 in a m6. I loved it for a daily driver cam. Definately get the 918's/ti retainers, and the new timing chain. tuning wasn't mandatory but always will help.

A) If you're not getting headers, get the Thunder CheaTR cam (designed for stock manifolds and works great with headers also). Cam without headers is not making use of the cam's potential.
B) TR224 is pretty much the benchmark cam to judge other cams by. It makes a great, wide powerband. Larger cams make more upper mid and high rpm range, but the TR224 will equal or surpass them up to that point. It's good for 370-390ish rwhp with full bolt-ons.
C)Tit rets a good idea though not necessary. Comp 918's fine. Hardened PR's a must. Timing chain a good idea. Long term, look into upgrading your injectors and oil pump.
D) 112 will have a neat chop to it. 114 smoother. Either very streetable. Tuning should be looked into. If tuning not an option, get the 114. 112 will tighten up the powerband and peak sooner.
