Question do i have valve float???

how do you know really? i thought your RPM just wouldnt go any higher. i just put a cam in about 2 weeks ago and doesnt really seem like it runs that much better than stock. i put a 228/232 .588 .574 112+4 comp cam in it. i got some used 918's that "had" 1000 or less mi on it and was runing with a .560's lift cam. car hits the power band at like about 3k but doesnt really scream like i would have thought. i got a mail order tune and i dont have headers yet they should be here today or tomorrow. and the cats will be gone too . do you guys think its my exhaust that is really holding me back or could it be valve float up top? the headers will be on when i get them and i guess we will see what they do. the ramp rates are pretty extreme so they could not be closing fast enough i guess and not making power up top. i considering getting patriot golds if its needed. sorry its so long but an ideas would be great.

with valve float you get a flat line at the peak power area and it looks weird on the graph

That big of a cam with no headers? Yeah, the top end will fall flat. The stock manis can not flow/scavange the extra air coming in and out of the motor. Put some long tubes on that thing ASAP

myy budddy's T/A has a 560ish lunati, and it ran ok, then we put the long tubes and duals, and a lot of his problems went away, I guess the better breathing really helped it out, but it could use a tune i guess
