Default Help with best mod

I have a 2000 T/A, It has a cat back, 3.73, ram air box, hypertech. I'm about to put my headers on the car, I am looking for the best mod for the money on the car, without really getting into replacing the heads, I thought Maybe a cam? But what size would be best? Any suggestions on anything else I should do First? I am planning on running some Nitrious, I know I'm gonna have it tuned after the headers and my other mod, But what would be the best gain? I actually thought about using the Texas Speed magic stick as my cam, but I dont really wanna remove the heads to set up the valve springs or does anyone know the combination for the ls1?
Any help would be great....Looking to smoke some people, I've been called out and looking for some gains...

If it's an M6 car (manual) then I think a cam may be your best bet. You do not have to remove the heads for a cam-swap or spring swap.

If you're automatic, then one of the best mods is a converter.

+1 for converter for A4. As far as the cam goes, don't be afraid of a rough idle. I wanted to keep my idle tame, and immediately wished I had gone bigger.

You are going to want a nice split pattern in a cam though if you are going to spray it. There are several cams out there that have a bad *** reaction to nitrous....whereas some really don't. Just make sure you read the stickies and ask questions.

But as far as converter if you are A4...definitely!
M6, don't be afraid to get a big cam like was said before. You will have the gearing for it. Also clutch might not be a bad idea either. I went small and then went to the wall! Wish I would have done the current one first.

Supercharger or Turbo....you will be able to drop the hammer indefinitely with forced induction.

+2 for torque converter.

P.S. I would like to add that Fuddle has an excellent product, price, and customer service.

The car is actually a 6spd. Anyone got a suggestion on what cam to use? What would the gains be? Remember I am gonna use nitrious later

Don't forget that a cam like the magic stick needs real tuning. Plan on punting the Hypertech and investing in real software plus a wideband.

There is a place that tunes cars maybe 15 mins from my house, I plan on having them tune the car after I change the cam or my next step. Would it make that much of a difference changing to that cam? Or someone suggest something else?

Do a search and look around there is a bunch of info on all sorts of different cams here. Then check out the for sale section for used cams to save you some dough. Then get yourself a clutch to hold the power. Textralia's might be on sale still in GP section.
I would get a g5x2 with the plans you have.Thats just my opinion. you can spray any cam and get good results.
