Default 400 rwhp

Getting some feedback about the probability of getting 400 rwhp out of my SS with longtubes, ory, and a cam and rocker swap. If its possible would the car still be a good daily driver? Would I need to go with a wild cam to get to the magic 400 rwhp level? I'm def. getting a dyno tune also. I look forward to some feedback.

easy i put down 329 on my Z with a K&N and a cut out, you could hit 400 with a really streetable cam + tune, free mods, and good exhaust!! very streetable. if you got a little extra money and time send the stock heads in to get ported put some nice springs, and valves. but really its gonna be easya dn very fun on the street.

Depends on your cam+rocker combo. May or may not be a good idea.

What cam are you thinking of running?
However, it should not be an issue with size if you are planning on running the same ratio rocker. 1.8x with a smaller sized cam would be more ideal. Bigger cams, I would stick with the stock ratio.

Yeah, many aftermarket cams are designed for the stock rocker ratio, usually the larger ones, so keep an eye on that. With a decent sized cam, LT, and a good tune many have made 400 rwhp or close to it.

you could get a trex it pumps out 405 whp alone. its still semi streetable but you will need an upgraded tranny and around a 4000 stall torque converter.

i would say save the money and go with set of heads and mid cam,pp ls2 heads with 224/228 or the prc heads with the same cam . that will get you in the point you want feel sorry for the whole deal and 400+ rwhp all day and night

I agree with red z28. If you are at all concerned about driveability then go with good heads and a small/mid cam to get your 400rwhp. If you have the $$, AFR's seem to be a good choice.

I've seen cam only cars making 400rwhp and the cams are wild. Some people will tell you they're driveable and others won't. To me they sound like race cars which is not bad, they just wouldn't make for great daily drivers to me.
