Default Is it worth it?

Well i'm in a dilemna here. First off my 99 Camaro has 142k on the clock...I want to cam it, but i'm afraid the block is worn down by the mileage. If I do decide to cam it what should I replace internally? Bearings, rods, pistons? Or should I just invest in a new shortblock? Thanks...

I would be more like a new longblock.

A new shortblock would be a great choice. And then just pick your favorite heads to top it off. Everything has 142K miles on it...just remember that. Unless you have replaced them already, and by the look of your sig you are pretty much near stock with maybe the addition of intake, lid, headers and maybe a converter.
