Two things to consider, your cam makes its power at higher RPM's so a larger port may make the low/mid range a little soft. Your car is pretty heavy, so I would tend to lean towards a smaller port for this reason as well. By smaller port, I am associating port size with cross-sectional area since the area is typically not provided.

Thanks for the compliment. I have to keep my input here short as I'm not a sponsor on this board. I will say that the choices so far are all very good. We provide all the great benefits listed above (Darts, Profilers, stock ported castings, etc...) but with the addition of coatings on the chambers and valve faces. We do this to add horsepower, longevity and reduce detonation greatly. We are able to run much more compression as a result. 11.5:1 is not uncommon.
Thanks!

I would be looking for something with a port volume of under 220 cc to keep the low rpm port velocity high. I would also be looking at a combustion chamber size of 60 - 62cc to yeild a compression ratio of around 11:1. The third thing I would look for once I found heads that meet these two criteria would be the best mid lift numbers in the 0.200 - 0.500 lift.
I would take a good look at the TEA stage 1 heads and the PRC stage 1.5 heads.
You'll then have a street terror / torque monster.

^ I agree, the TEA 1 5.7's check in at 220cc with incredible mid range flow numbers.
Only thing is that the flow numbers taper off from 296 to 294 from .550 to .600, and that's where the 5.3 1.5's begin to shine. There's about 10 more peak hp available there, with a little loss of midrange, and the GT2-3 has .57x lift.
So many factors.

We just finished a brand new PRC port for the LS6 style cylinder heads. The last port I flowed went 317cfm @ .600 with one of our 2.04 valves! The great thing about the new port is it's not all top flow, it went 209 @ .300, 258 @ .400!!
