Hes a cool kid and I do believe him when he says thats its brand new. He ported it himself as well...I looked it over really good and compared it to the stocker and everything looked fine IMO. I ll talk to him and see what he thinks about it...

Now its banging like a mother ******...really loud clunks and **** coming from the engine everytime I fire it up. I can keep it going for a few seconds but the I am just scared shitless now cause of these noises.

WTF? I never touched the timing chain...

Am I going to have to pull the manifold off and see if the valves are bent?

It never did this the first couple times I fired it up...in fact it ran perfect everytime.

You didnt leave any bolts or anything in it did you? Did you check dot to dot on the sprockets? Even if you pulled the intake you couldnt see if the valves were hitting or not. The heads will have to be removed to see that. Plus everyone Ive ever heardChange the oil to see if you have any pieces of metal or shavings. Try to eliminate as many things as possible before you go pulling the heads. Whats your oil pressure look like? Is the header hitting the k-member? Is anything underneath clunking/banging? How long has it ran before with no oil in it? Hopefully you didnt spin a bearing. Just be patient, I think all of us can relate to your fustration, I know Ive been there done that.

Well I pulled the manifold...took all of 20 minutes for me. I am seeing a lot of oil in the ports...its pooling up on top of the valves.

Could the pcv cause that? I found it disconnected from the TB...could of pulled it off without thinking when I removed the manifold.

Not that I know atleast...

Did you check dot to dot on the sprockets?
No but I did crank it over by hand a bunch and never felt it stop at any point...figured it was fine.

Whats your oil pressure look like?
I have some thats for sure now...cant tell what it is at though.

Is the header hitting the k-member?
Not that I know of, I will check.

Is anything underneath clunking/banging?
I dont know what the **** it is thats banging but it sounds bad and loud.

How long has it ran before with no oil in it?
Stared it twice with no oil pressure. The first time it ran for 7 seconds or so, the second time it ran for 5 seconds.

Man, I wish you were closer, I'd sleep in the garage for a few days to help you get all this **** done. Like Z'mnypit said, try to diagnose where exactly it's coming from (valvetrain, lower in the engine, or exteranl/underneath). But at the same time, try to keep the running of the car at a minimum.

That would be awesome...cause I am really getting to a point where I just want to push this ****** off of a cliff.

Been there, done that (well, not pushed it off a cliff). You just gotta tell yourself that it won't be done today, or tomorrow, or even next week. Give yourself a ridiculously late prediction of when it will be done so that each time you make more progress than predicted, you feel better.

Whats up with all the oil around the intake ports and in them?

Should I pull the heads?
