Who makes thicker walled pushrods?

3/8 OD require boring the pushrod holes don't they?

I believe you are correct, all 5/16" hardened pushrods that I've seen for the LSx have 0.080" thick walls.

ok, got a little more info I'll share

talked to FTI, they can get me a 5/16th OD pushrod with walls up to ~.113 thick. above that you have to go to a 7/16th and that may not work with the stock pushrod holes in the head.

The 5/16" .080"wall should be more than enough for most any hydraulic roller application. We sell the Trick Flows for 84.50 set and they have them in every .050" increment's.

I wonder how the thicker walled 5/16" OD PR's effect how the oil passes through them. (Smaller passage.)

Not in c5-r heads

But I believe you'll have to play close attention with a ls1/ls6 head in regards to increased o.d. diameter pushrods.

mine's pretty dang extreme

I actually need 7.225" so I'm limited there too.


yes, it will make the oil passage smaller.
