Default Heads question

Are AFR heads worth the money, im looking for a good pair of heads to go with about a 224/224 cam... the afrs look nice, especially with the thicker deck. any info would help. also... what is the different between 5.3l heads and the 5.7l heads

Are you looking for lower compression for any reason? You said that you like the deck height on the AFR's so i wasn't sure where you were going after the 5.3 and 5.7 question.

well, at this point im not looking for a reason to run low compression.. ill be using nitrous however... i thought part of the concept of a thinker deck was to prevent a head from warping

if your using nitrous then you want high compression. i just bought some livernois ls6 heads for under 1k shipped. And that was assembled with springs up to a .580 lift. the look good. not installed yet.
