You can a better set than that. Hit up Texas-Speed ----> and check out their Head&Cam Packages. They have a package thats about $300 more and you get your choice of cam, AFR 205cc heads, and hardened pushrods. Another package which is cheaper than the one your looking at has Stage 2.5 5.3 Heads, choice of cam, and hardened pushrods.

You could save about $600.00 and get the patriot heads fully assembled 5.3's and custom grind, and still have mod money left over. LS6 conversion is more of a nostalgia thing. Do what 2000Hawk said as well if you want the powerful option. With that cam in for a while you will be hurtin to go bigger sooner than later.

Hell, you have the gears for a bigger cam. Don't sell yourself short. And if you are looking for that 420 range of N/A power you arent going to be really getting it with the LS6 cam. Depending on your shot size don't pick your cam based on Nitrous. Chances are you will only spray about 2-5% of the time...and maybe even lower. Yeah, it is a good cam to spray, but there is a lot of options out there. Since you don't have forged parts in the bottom end I am assuming that you are not going to exceed the 150 shot.

What is your overall goal for the car?
Are you going direct port or wet/dry?

We have to know this sorta stuff to give you an idea or ballpark figure on what you are looking for. You will have an easier time being a dyno queen with an M6 so that will help out some.

If you are looking for the 420 range, all you need is a larger cam and LT's to get you there.

Spend your money on an aftermarket cam with more duration and higher lift...along with better flowing "ported" heads. If you did the conversion, you would find yourself wanting more....that is a promise.

Any mod you do to these cars make you want more. Just a drive in a car like these and you get the need for power.

Check that thread out...

If you plan on spraying it, save your money and go cam only. Bigger jets for the juice cost a little bit less than new heads

Plus you're going to need that money for the 10 bolt.

PS - that thread was with stock gears, 4.10's are even weaker.

Hey Chris if you can find a better price than Summit's, and They can look/call and verify that its a lower price Summit will beat that price by a buck. Im sure there are better options then the conversion but, just food for thought if you do decide to get the kit. Let me know if you want to buy it and give me a call my ext. is 5786. or PM me.

If H/C is your choice, then TSP LS2 heads with TSP cam of choice is cheaper and will net you more power.
Patriot has similar setup as well
Shop around.
