Sounds odd....wonder if you got some water into the intake or air filter?

PS - How much is 98 Octane gas in Kuwait? About 35 cents a gallon US? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Usually a backfire has to do with timing somehow. Maybe you have a loose connection on your cam position sensor or crankshaft position sensor?

Todd

PS - Send me some of that gas!

Cam position sensor is behind the intake and mounted to the block. It is a flat connector with a 10mm bolt holding it down.

The Crank Position sensor is just above the starter. You will probably have to drop the starter to get to it. Also held in place by a single 10mm bolt.
