Default Cam Question

Well have an 02 SS that is daily driven and am looking for a good pretty good all
around cam that sounds mean and gives pretty good power. All my mods are in my sig and LT's, ORY and a catback are in the works pretty soon, but my question is does anyone run the 224R Cam (224/224,.588/.588 with 112 LSA)???
from Texas Speed, this is the cam i am considering.......Also what gears would be good with this cam??? I was thinkin about 4.10's but i dunno.

Thanks guys

I bet that there is a high percentage of people running that cam on here actually. I would say no more than 3.73's for gears with that cam would be needed. 4.10's would work however.

Just like the TR224 but with increased ramp rates, prob XE-R lobes. 3.73's will be more than fine, unless you don't do much highway driving then 4.10's work too. It's all subjective.

Yeah i figured there was, but i did a search and came up with nothing so i thought i would ask. Originally i was planning on going with the Magic Stick, but i
want to do heads without having to flycut and the 224R looked like a good DD cam.

It wouldn't necessarily be too much. You would want to have atleast 3.73's though.

I am running the 228R through a M6 and stock gears and have no problems other than stop and go city traffic that crawls along at 0-10MPH. I really liked the cam when it was my daily driver. Now that I have another vehicle I would like gears and something bigger. I would not hesitate putting the 224R or 228R in a stock M6 geared car for daily driving, just get a decent tune. Good luck
