Default Cam choice for 6.0L swap

Hey guys - gonna do an LQ9 6.0L swap in my 04 RCSB Silvy soon and I wanted to post up what I am looking at for cam choices and see what input you all had. Currently it has a 5.3 with a "baby" 210/218 .551 on a 112LSA, and made 290rwhp in 105* ambient. Mods are in the sig, but will probably be minus the 1.8's with the new setup. I'm guessing the Dacco stall should flash to ~2800 behind a cammed 6.0L.

Here is what I have been looking at so far.

SPDC/Crane 220/224 .551 114LSA +4
TR 220/220 and TR 224/224 with both 112 & 114LSA's
PP 226/226 .585 112LSA

The LQ9 heads flow pretty good stock and should make a good combination with one of these cams. The added inches of the 6.0 should somewhat tame any of these cams, and maintain good idle characteristics and driveability, correct? This is my daily driver, so reliability is first. I am looking for street manners, as well as making some good power for the times at the track.

The TR cams are the ever popular choice for alot of folks and do make good power. But what about the 220/224 and the Patriot 226/226? I have seen very little posted about either of these two. The 220/224 I think would be a mild cam in a 6.0, but how do you think the 226/226 would act with it being on a 112LSA? Would there be tuning issues. I have HPT and an LC-1. But if it's a PIA to tune Ed Wright is local and I could take it there. Also what kind of reliable power is possible with these cams? Thanks for any input.

I will be watching this thread as I have a LQ9 that I am putting in a rock crawler and want to change cams and possible head porting.

Bump...you got me interested in that SDPC/Crane 220/224 Okie...wonder what the powerband would be like in an LQ9, and what RPM to shift at...
