I'm leaning towards East Side Performance since they are closest to me, and they have quoted me a pretty good price.
Also looking at some used motors that are sale. Think it's a good idea to go with a used engine or just put the money out for a new engine?

Go with a reputable builder, such as East Side Performance, that is close to you in case a problem develops you can discuss it face to face and shipping won't eat you alive. Stay away from used engines unless you know the history of the engine personally. There's lots of good stuff out there and there's lots of junk. You can read the horror stories of the members who got screwed buying used short/long blocks/engines on here on a pretty regular basis. It's not worth the gamble, buy new. Don't forget to add the cost of tuning your new engine to your total costs.
