Default Are the dot's lined up????

Just want to double check my timing.

For those running double rollers, I just pushed the crank sprocket on and it slid all the way on with just my hand. Seem to seat all the way on.... good enough?

Also the chain is a bit tighter than stock, either side will move about 1/4" to 3/8" in either direction, one side at a time. (was fairly easy to get on there)

Also the tip of my oil p/u tube seems to be slightly distorted, the base where the o-ring sits seems fine. Any input?

it looks good to me....if it is off usually you will see it way off....what i did was take about a 6inch small ruller and mad sure they lined up....the chain should be tighter considering your usung a different setup....no big deal actually a good thing....as long as the oring is in there good and flat you should be fine

that looks right to me. if you mean the slight flat spot on the p/u tube, I wouldn't worry about that. as long as the base of the tube isn't deformed, cause the oring seals there.

Looks good to me. Tha stock chain will be looser, because it was on for a while and has stretched.

Dont foget the spacers and make sure they are on right. Its possible to get the one on the right on wrong...that equals no oil pressure.

Have you slotted the oil pick-up tube mount (in sump) to allow for the pump spacers moving pump out ? if not tube may not centre in pump correctly and can cause oil pressure problems at start up .

We installed a Rollmaster double roller and the pick-up tube fit perfectly to the oil pump. The new spacers are .10 of an inch (give or take) there is that much movement for the tube to fit. ABSOLUTELY USE A NEW 0-RING ( THE OLD ONE MAY BE WORN OR SQUARED) AND IT MAY NOT SEAT PROPERLY CAUSING A TICKING SOUND FROM THE PUMP AREA. The ticking noise may be caused from slight cavitation in the oil pump.

Its just a precaution , most will get away with just forceing the pickup into position , but have herd of others having oil pressure issues due to poor alignment and damaging O-ring.
Be warned though its a pig of a job to get the pick up out with engine in car , can be done though - requires undoing engine mounts and lifting engine or dropping crossmember to allow room to get at pickup mount .

This is prob the main reason some opt for a heavy duty single row instead of double !

Cheers

The least you can be off by is a tooth, so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
