13,500 rpm. I wouldn't go much more than that.

I concur. I usually don't spin my stock block past 12,000.

If you have ARP rod bolts and a ported oil pump you could probably go up to 17,250.

The new Suzuki 600 goes to 17,000. Need to spin it above 10k if you want to be in the power.

Read the thread on piston speed. If you are using say an Eagle 4340 crank and rods with decent pistons, your hydraulic lifters will be the limitation.

Ask your engine builder. He will have all the information to give you a correct answer.

Guys, shame on you

Please specify what size stroker. On a small stroke (what we call de-stroke), you can spin more and if built properly, you could see 9>10K rpm.

Now with the popular strokers (383, 402, 408 etc..), the bigger the strokers usually means they will spin less. But BUILT ones can still reach 7+K rpm reliably.

You have a 382ci right, 4.000 stroke? Where did it peak on the dyno? I would not spin most hydraulic stuff over 7000rpm in general. If you peak at 6200 you prolly should not shift it higher than 10% over peak hp, but also look at how the power drops off after peak. You have to experiment. With my old 422ci iron block setup, I shifted at 6600 most of the time when I was going 11.0@123mph.

Guess I did leave out a little info didnt I? hp peaks at about 5000 tq peaks about 6000 and is still at 380 at 6500 rpms so from 6000 to 6500 Im losing about 20 ft lbs.
Just trying to figure out what a safe limit would be last time out I was bouncing of the limiter at about 6700 do to the trans. Speed inc. will be taking care of that when they install my new vert.PSJ yes its a speed inc.382 so im sure its gonna handle it.And thanks PREDATOR-Z but I kind of asked for that.

Typically, you want to spin about 500 rpm past the HP peak. Otherwise, I was under the impression the valvetrain was more the RPM limitation than the bottom end (if properly built). I dunno. I take mine to 7k

Depends on these things...
-Stroke length
-Displacement
-Number of cylinders
-Quality of parts
-Quality of hardware
-Poweradders
-Valvetrain durability
-How big your ***** are
-Etc...

Your hp peaks lower than your torque your engine is a mathematical impossibility.

Just messing with you man, i know what you meant.
