Patrick, would you be able to spray with your setup? (with out the forging) like a 125-150 shot?

I'm at 460-470 RWHP with PRC 2.5R's, Comp 230-236 .595 .610 112 lsa, 90/90, LT's and every bolt-on. Very drivable after SD tune. I use it to commute in DC traffic so you know it has to be right.

Yes, but you would need a spark retard system to take about 8 degrees out of your timing at WOT on the gas (plus the upgraded fuel system). But then again, 600-650 rwhp is a lot on a stock bottom end. It can be done, but you have to really pay attention to your tune to make it last. Those stock pistons are like glass at that high of cylinder pressure.

Seriously though, there are a lot of guys that are very happy with their big cams and have had great success with them. Get a dead-nuts on tune, and you'll probably be good to go. I just didn't think the driveability trade-off was worth it TO ME.
You probably would have been fine if you had it professionally tuned. I don't have many issues with my MS3 in mine as a daily driver, but I had it tuned at LS1 Speed. It starts immediately every time, never dies, idle is perfectly smooth (well, constant anyway ) once warmed up and is only a problem when cold if you don't knwo how to drive it. Don't do what the guy at Tire Barn did, which is to start it and IMMEDIATELY drop it into drive, then sit there motionless. That's just asking for trouble. Start it and let the idle settle (maybe 10 seconds, depends on variables) or if you put it into gear right away start moving and give it a little gas.

The fastest/biggest head/cam combo
Fastest is not always biggest (and vise versa).
