After the truck sits all day and i let it warm up to running temp(no smoke at this point) i drive the truck about 2 miles then get on it and it smokes bad under wot, but just for a few miles of running at wot, after that i can go wot and no smoke, any ideas?? thanks.

 

forgot to mention a/f ratio is 13.0, st and lt fuel trims are at 0.00, 02's are reading 8.87 to 8.90

 

That is weird. It almost sounds like something is leaking into or on the exhaust, and once it heats up from the wot run it burns off. If it were leaking into the cylinders it would start burning right away, if it were leaking past the rings it would do it all the time. and if it were valve guides - they do it more on deceleration and would do it all the time.

Anoter thought is the PCV or breather is leaking into the intake and when when you do a wot run the extra flow is pulling it in to the cylinders - but that's a long shot.

well i did the wot runs on the way home today and no smoke, got me lol

it has done this for some time now, just every now and then there will be smoke when i go wot, it is burning or useing oil alot latley though 2 quarts every 3000 miles, only new mods have been patriot dual valve springs, 31# injectors, tune, this has been done in the last 2 weeks, but the smoke has done this for about 4 0r 5 months now.
