Default Cam and mileage question

I see a lot of people asking if it's ok to put a cam in a higher mileage car. I was wondering if that would ever be a problem seeing the LS1 cams are all roller cams. If the cam install is done correctly a new cam doesn't effect engine life hardly at all, right...? Thanks in advanced for any light you can shed on this question.

Just had installed one of the biggest cams out there in my 106K mile car. Car runs great and is an animal up top.

I'd recommend replacing the lifters if possible. I'm doing mine when my heads come in.

Depends on how aggressive the cam you are contemplating putting in. If you get a decent "upgrade" to the stock one the springs should probably be replaced at a minimum. If I were doing a cam install on a higher mileage engine the pushrods, springs, and rockers would be replaced with new or possibly low mileage parts...

No problem with camming a high milage motor. replace the timing chain, oil pump valveseals, springs, pushrods. If you dont mind pulling the heads replace the lifters too.
