Have a look at Futral's line of cams besides just the F13 and F14 which seem to be status quo cams around here. If you're not wanting to go past 6500, the F6 cam 226/230 with 114LSA would probably be a great choice. It's also not a spring killer cam either, so valvetrain reliability should be first rate.

NO. Not the case at all. Those numbers are for comparison purposes only. There is a great deal to cam design beyond those reference numbers, which is why LG and others keep their specs, based on extensive R&D, a "secret".
can be said about other tuners, but lg's grinds are straight out of the comp cam lobe catalog, set at what ever lsa they want to put it on, like the g5x3 i believe is a 234-242 598" - 610" lift , which is directly taken from the comp cams catalog of lobes, but if you want to buy lg's go ahead.

They could possibly have different .200" and .006" duration figures??? I dunno...

I didn't want to spin past 6600 either, so I went with a 230/236 .570/.578 114 +4. With AS Stage II heads I put down just under 400 to the wheels with a 4400 stall and 4.10's. It peaks at just over 6100, and stays level to 6600.
