With the stock bottom end you are not gonna be able to take advantage of either one. Well not very many times anyway. I would get a good set of rod bolts if you are dead set on running one of these. If not then I would step down to an X2 or X3. JMO

Trex. It will make more power than the x4.

I see that your running the x3 in your car from your modlist, how do you like the power? does it pull through the powerband? My car is decent now NA with a small cam and I just want to see how fast I can go on stock bottom end.

i would go with the t-rex and not look back , it was designed with stock heads in mind... there is a few people here running mid to high 10's with that cam and stock head

You need some rod bolts if you are gonna take full advantage of a 24x .600+ cam.

If its an 01 or 02 car it should have stronger rod bolts from the factory, correct?

x4 will idle better then the T-rex. It's also makes good power and designed to work with the stock heads.

Rod bolts are not required at all. Jugger ran the x4 without rod bolts....

I like it pretty well, I wish it had a little more bottom end but once it gets around 3K it's an animal. I wouldn't trade my X3 for a X4 or a T-Rex to be honest.

Not true. Either one of these cams will need a tune for what is trying to be achieved. You can have a t-rex with a great idle if you have a proficient tuner.
