guys with the cheatr package come in
hey guys i have a 98 ss a4.and its a daily driver but i want some power out of it and a nice smooth idle with lil of choppy in it.now the thunder racing package with some bolt ons produce 400rwhp now that with a stock idle sound.now wat if u step it up a bit to small choppy idle and bit more lift and full exhaust wat number will it make then?maybe 430rwhp?i mean u have 400rwhp with stock ex manifold cats and catback if u add full exhaust lontubes ory magnaflow u should pick at least 30rwhp with the bit bigger cam correct?

uh, im not sure but id be careful. that cam is mean tto be optimal with stock exhaust. i think maybe doing the exhaust might not make it as efficient. you might get some gains but not what you expect. let someone with more experience chime in here.
We've got an SS that threw the CheaTR in his car up here and with a tune he's putting down 370 to the wheels through a set of Kooks longtubes with cats and full catback. I always find some discrepancy in what numbers are circulated and what numbers you'll actually see. Every car is different too. The same mods on another "same" car might not produce the same results on the same day.
You really can't hear the CheaTR at all. It's very stealthy especially if it's at a normal idle speed. Maybe opt for something like the TR220 or 224? They've got a nice mild chop on the 114.

What he^ said. I have Patrick G's CheaTR. Makes great power. I haven't been to the dyno yet, but I do know several people made good power, and even better after long tubes. True, it's designed to work well with manifolds, but that doesn't keep it from puting up even better numbers with headers. I have pacesetter lt's and Tsp catted y. I set the idle up to 850, and it's hard to tell the difference from stock. Set it at 650 and it has a noticable chop. Excellent stealth cam. Hopefully some dyno numbers and et's to come soon.
