Default Is it even worth it to upgrade.

Right now i have a C1 style cam (222/222 .566/.566 110LSA+4). The cam is currently not in the car. I drive the car 600 miles a week, so driveablity is important.
Would it even be worth it to sell this cam and buy something like a TR224, TR227, or a TR230. All im looking for is a good running daily driver, and i want a lot of power under the curve.

Worth the money, or stick with what i have?

I'm always thinking about doing the same thing, you might gain 10hp. I'm going to save & buy heads.

I'd sell it and go with the TR230/224. It's going to have great drive-ability and will drive like a TR224 and have the same power under the curve as well as having more through the mid-range and up top. It'll also pull hard to 6300 and be perfect for street use.

If i sell the cam i have now, i could probably get 200$ for it. Is the 10hp worth $200, or am i better off with what i have?

i have been seriously looking at the three TR cams, but i just cant justify the $200 now; unless a bunch of people say to.

heads will make the cam you have now wake up more. I ran a 222/226 566/569 114 cam for a year. I liked it....but had to have more...so i doubled it practically.

Is it really on a 110 LSA? There is no point in switching to the other cams from a power persepective. The 110 cam will take some tuning to drive nicely but will be very torquey down low.

yeah, definatly on a 110lsa., i have the cam card. I bought i from a guy locally that went a lot bigger plus heads.
Thats what i was wondering; how well it could be tuned. If there are going to be problems getting a GOOD tune on it, then i guess i will sell it, and get something else. What do you all think?
It sounded like a beast for a baby cam I just hope it will have good street manners. The guy i bought it from never had a good tune on it, so who knows.

I think this could be a decent cam with a good tune though. What do you all think?

How would nitrous do on a cam like this?

This is not that small of a cam. Look at your overlap, not just duration, you're the same size as a 226/226 112 . For nitrous I'd think you would want a little more exhaust duration more along the lines of a 224/228 112

i know it wouldnt be a "good" nitrous cam, but i was wondering how it would respond to say a 100hp shot. Nothing too big.

100shot ok, or stay away from teh bottle?

an occasional 100 shot is not that big a deal unless your exhaust is restrictive. If you have headers, etc. you'll be ok.

Now im looking for a good local tuner to tune this thing. Im looking to do this the week of the 20th in march; my spring break. So we'll see how everything goes.
