Remember make sure the valves are in the closed position first before checking compression... I highly doubt you damaged a piston due to an over rev...

 

You mean leakdown, right? Compression is tested while the engine is cranked...

 

Yep I meant leakdown... I assumed he was performing a leakdown test, my bad. You know what they say assumptions are the root of all evil.

One thing, did you test other cylinders, or just #8? I just wanted to rule out a tester malfunction. I know it's a long shot, but i didn't see any mention of testing other cylinders.

did test all of them 8 was the only one with zero , untill know looks like the heads r the problem but by tomorow I will till u guys what was wrong.

by the way this is good chance to look for a new set of budget heads , what do u think guys?

any opinions?

 

okk finally found out that the valves r damaged , so problem was in heads .

I just ordered a set of TSP's PRC Ls6 heads....There is a vast wealth of good cylinder heads out now to choose from....

 

I took head off of my car to see what went wrong, Not to horrible of a job, be prepared for some bloody hands tho trying to get the rear bolts
