you can get just a timing chain.Im not sure what kit you are refering to,but all you need is the timing chain and oil pump if you decide to do that,no timing gears,gaskets ect.

ok cool. I saw kits available from SDPC. They called it a set. LMPerformance has a comp cams set. TSP has a LS2 timing chain set.

that part number is just the chain. You can reuse your stock crank and cam sprockets just fine.

OK good. I just wanted to make sure that the original sprockets will be ok for the LS2 chain.

bump on the chain? Whats the diff. between an LS1 and LS2 timing chain?

ls2 chain is beefier. Has thicker links than the ls1.
