coil pack brackets ls1 to ls6 swap

Tell me im smoking crack here I just took my coils off my 98 valve covers got a set of 6.0 coil brackets went to put the coils on the bracks and the holes dont line up and the 98 coils are more rounded then the newer coils is this correct. Anyone have any ideas should I just get a newer set of coils and will they work with my computer. thanks guys

is it worth or can you just get newer coil packs from a slavage yard and will they plug in to my harness

the 6.0 valve covers have more and different bosses on them for the 6.0 coil brackets otherwise the valve covers are the same for center bolt heads. dont know if they made any 6.0 valve covers with perimeter bolt holes. the coils themselves are supposed to have a stronger spark. you will need to check if the coil harness plugs into the engine harness. hope this helps more than confuses. joel
